Job Title: Front Office Coordinator

Education & Certifications: CPR Certified, Real Estate License

Professional Background: Candice has been working in dental care and has experience as an office manager in general dentistry before joining The Root Canal Guy. She has also worked in real estate and hospitality industries.

Role at The Root Canal Guy: As the Front Office Coordinator at The Root Canal Guy, Candice provides patients with insurance verification, schedules appointments and provides treatment plans. She is the first team member you may meet at The Root Canal Guy.

Special Skills or Interests in Dentistry: Candice’s grace under pressure, her calm demeanor, and excellent communication, all of which are essential for managing a busy dental practice front desk has made her a special asset to practice. The customer service, multitasking, and problem-solving skills honed from her days of bartending are highly valuable as a dental front office coordinator.

Community Involvement or Hobbies: Outside of the office, Candice loves reading, traveling, Cardinals football (season ticket holder), going to concerts and boating at Lake Pleasant.

Fun Fact: Candice was born and raised in Arizona and is married with 4 children.

Job Title: Dental Assistant

Years of Experience in Dentistry/Healthcare:6 years

Education & Certifications: Haley is a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) through the Dental Assisting National Board which includes Radiation Health & Safety, and Infection Control. She is also BLS and CPR certified.

Professional Background: Haley has been working in dentistry since 2020 and brings experience in both general dentistry and endodontics.

Role at The Root Canal Guy: As a Dental Assistant at The Root Canal Guy, Haley supports through each step of their appointment – taking X-Rays and CBCT scans, assisting during root canal procedures, and providing after-care instructions.

Special Skills or Interests in Dentistry: Haley knows that no one is excited to be at the dentist. She is dedicated to helping every patient feel welcome, comfortable and at ease during their visit.

Community Involvement or Hobbies: Outside of the office, Haley loves hiking, reading, and enjoying the outdoors.

Fun Fact: Haley loves dogs and wants to see all of your puppy pictures.

Job Title: Office Manager

Years of Experience in Dentistry/Healthcare:19 years

Education & Certifications: Kris’ journey in the healthcare industry began when she graduated from University of North Carolina in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Recognizing her innate passion for healthcare, she entered the dental field and swiftly realized that it was the perfect avenue for her career aspirations. Kris is also a certified DANB and BLS/CPR certified.

Professional Background: Kris began her dental career with The Root Canal Guy in 2007 and has been with the dental practice ever since.

Role at The Root Canal Guy: With her extensive experience and commitment, Kris has seamlessly taken on the role of overseeing and managing the intricate workings of our practice. Her sharp organizational skills and keen attention to detail ensure that every aspect of our operations runs smoothly, allowing our team to provide top-tier endodontic dental services to our valued patients. 

Special Skills or Interests in Dentistry: Kris’s warm and approachable personality creates a welcoming environment for both our team members and patients alike. Her steadfast dedication to excellence in patient care and practice management makes her an invaluable asset and a true cornerstone of our practice.

Community Involvement or Hobbies: Kris loves to travel, dine out, spend time outdoors and volunteer at the Equine Sanctuary. She values quality time with her son and husband.

Fun Fact: Kris proudly grew up a military brat. She can pick up and move at a moments notice.

Job Title: Dental Assistant

Years of Experience in Dentistry/Healthcare:13 years

Education & Certifications: Renee is Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) and holds certifications in infection control and radiology. She graduated with honors from her dental assisting program. Renee is also BLS/CPR certified from the American Heart Association.

Professional Background: Renee began her career in dentistry in 2012. She worked for a general dentist immediately following her graduation from dental assisting program in Ohio for a year and a half. In late 2013, Renee relocated to Arizona and has held positions in both front office and chairside assisting for both general dental and endodontic practices throughout The Valley.

Role at The Root Canal Guy: Renee provides a comfortable dental experience to patients at The Root Canal Guy, as she is a great listener and attentive to all. Since she is cross-trained, she is also able to provide support to our front office in times of need.

Community Involvement or Hobbies: Outside of the office, Renee enjoys spending her free time with her husband and their two dogs, Wesley and Iggy. She and her husband enjoy visiting new restaurants and exploring the Southwest. Renee also enjoys watching sports….football is her favorite!

Fun Fact: Renee is a proud Swiftie and big fan of Penn State Football!!
